whoa Chinese New Year holiday mood also want to work on Sunday ar… erm.. normal leh if you work on production line. Normally employer want to optimize their profit mar.. where got think about employee’s decision 1.

“If you don’t come on Sunday, then don’t propose your salary increment!”

Well, I shouldn’t be saying this, but by right, he do not have the authority to ask you to work on Sunday. He can request and probably give increased pay for that day’s work, but if he threatens you with the “If you don’t come to work on Sunday, don’t come to work on Monday!” line, which I honestly hate, I will then give him this, “If I don’t come to work on Sunday and I come to work on Monday, so what? Fire me la!”
Good idea also, but before I say “If I don’t come to work on Sunday and I come to work on Monday, so what? Fire me la!” I better look for a new job first!

Working on sundays should be voluntary.. and pay has to be compensated. But unfortunately I think alot of Malaysian company doesn’t practice that.
