A Memorable Trip To Mulu National Park
How to put aside my works and enjoy my life without a care in the world? That’s simple for me! I spent 3 days 2 nights in Mulu National Park with monkeys. LOL! Given the spectacular nature of the park and its biological significance, it is not surprising that Mulu trip is one of the memorable moments in my life. Mulu is known for many things. For one, there is the Mulu Caves, a series of caves that really fascinate me. Well, are you ready to share my great excursion to Mulu National Park? Okay, let the pictures do the talking!
Day 1: Travelling to Mulu, Lang’s Cave, Deer Cave & Bats Exodus
Travelling to Mulu
The location of Gunung Mulu National Park.

Flying from Miri to Mulu.

Arriving
My first impression of Mulu.

Feel cool and refreshing!

Here come the Gunung Mulu National Park.

Lang’s Cave
On my way to Lang Cave.

We reached Lang’s Cave.

Entrance of Lang’s Cave

Welcome to wonderland! LOL!

I couldn’t believe what I saw… Limestone.

Stalactites & Stalagmite…

Beautiful… Coral???

I started to think about ice cream…

Jellyfishes?? LOL!

Deer Cave
OMG! I was inside the world’s largest cave passage (Deer Cave).

Can’t you recognize that? It’s Monkey King’s Profile… Oops, I mean Abraham Lincoln’s profile.

How big is the cave?

Now, you know?

Just a glimpse of the Garden of Eden… No time to go, sigh!

The 60 metres high “shower” continuously pouring from the roof near the Garden of Eden, speechless!

Bats Exodus
Waiting at the bats exodus observatory.

Deer Cave, view from the bats exodus observatory.

The bats exodus, streaming from Deer Cave every evening.

The Dark Knights!

Close-up view. No batman, pretty disappointed! LOL!

Day 2: Penan Settlement, Wind Cave & Clear Water Cave
Penan Settlement
Heading to Penan Settlement by motorized-longboat.

Beautiful scenery.

Another one.

Penan Settlement – Market Place.

Shopping time.

Handmade craft items.

Wind Cave
Boardwalk to Wind Cave.

Entrance of Wind Cave.

Natural light from the top of the cave.

What were they doing?

Clearwater Cave
Stairs up to Clearwater Cave.

Main entrance of Clearwater Cave.

Seeing no angel. LOL!

It looks like a…

Fair lady stalagmite.

Amazing piece of natural art.

Relaxing…
Long boats.

Crystal clear water.

Swim like a fish…

Relaxing moment…

Day 3: Home Sweet Home
Totally exhausted… Going home…

Yes, I definitely had a good time!
hey, its like going back to “hwa kuo san” where the monkey god “su mu kung” aka Monkey Wong comes from hor!
No one understands me more than you.
Cool~
Interesting…
Guess should be ok for me to go.. I always thought it is difficult to go inside..
Not difficult at all, but of course you still need a tour guide!
Wow so lovely. I hope I can visit Mulu cave one day.
Btw did ya go with Jam ar? Coz both of you went to the Wind Cave.
Che-Cheh, this wind cave differs than the wind cave I went. The wind cave I went is in Kuching and cannot compete with this one in any capacity.
You must visit it once at least if you have chance.
wah…we have such location, caves and bats on borneo island. hmm…
i have heard abt the caves but not seen the pics. amazing! do u feel like tom hanks in castaway? hehe…
i cant begin to imagine how surreal the 60m high shower… to be able to shower there? hehe…
how come did not paddle urself with the longboat to visit me? hehe…not far leh.
Yahor, I forgot to ‘cross over’ to see my monkey friend in Brunei :haha: Maybe next time…
Wei, you shall go there, not very far from your place.

nxt time dun worry to ‘cross over’ or ’swing from trees to trees’ to get here ok!
Was there last year. Took a lot of pics but lost all of it. I kept the pics in my laptop. The laptop was stolen together with my Prado. Sad story. Feel like going back to Mulu just to take pics. A nice place to relax.
So sorry to hear about that… I will go back there if I got chance because I haven’t visit to some of the interesting places like pinnacle… ;;)
Wow…u make me wanna go liaw
Wait no more, go ahead
This looks like a really nice place! Must visit next time I go to Sarawak! Hope can see monkeys there.
