My mood is not really good recently… The weather is horrible, never ending works… I have been drained of my passion, positive attitude and creativity… Irritable and stressed, I feel like wanting to kill the next person who says my name! I know I have been affected by workplace negativity! I know I shouldn’t listen to others too much… But I just can’t stop myself…
Negativity occurs in the attitude, outlook, and talk of one department member, or in a crescendo of voices responding to a workplace decision or event.
Workplace negativity may seem like an intangible problem, but it has very tangible consequences… It’s like a seemingly dormant volcano. It will boil beneath the surface, and bubble up and overflow to cause serious damage one day.
Hmmm… How to kick this “negativity virus” away? :thinking:

Dude, I feel your pain.
Working in a negatively charged environment is never pleasant, and if ‘exposed’ for a long time, you too will catch it — as in this case.
Its never an easy decision, but perhaps its a signal to start looking for greener pastures elsewhere?
Some of my colleagues resorted to using ‘office feng shui’… heh heh, potted plants here and there…. starting to look like a jungle!
Office Feng Shui won’t work for me, we’re in ‘very open’ working environment…

The best remedy is “do your own thing”. I am practising this since long time!

Workplace negativity is the culture of the department. Hard to change I can say. That’s the way the lead did.. everyone just follows the lead actually.. :thinking:
Then if the leader is useless, he will lead you to no way… :haha:
You have only two options: To keep complaining or to shut up and do the work assigned. But ppl usually keep complaining la, hahahahahaha……
