Lover Vs Husband

Before marriage, a man declares that he would lay down his life to serve you; after marriage, he won’t even lay down his newspaper to talk to you. It is because for them it is easier to be a lover than a husband for the simple reason that it is more difficult to be witty every day than to say pretty things from time to time.

A man was invited for dinner at a friend’s house.

Every time the host needed something, he preceded his request to his wife by calling her “My Love”, “Darling”, “Sweetheart”, etc., etc.

His friend looked at him and said, “That’s really nice after all of these years you’ve been married to keep saying those little pet names.”

The host said, “Well, honestly, I’ve forgotten her name.”

If you’ve got a significant other half, I believe you will always think of the way keeping the spark of your relationship alive. As a matter of fact, you will try to find ways to show you appreciate each other, every week and every day, every minute and every second if possible. That’s something what I call romantic! And for me, I will look for little, inexpensive ways to be romantic and wish it will pay off for my relationship in innumerable ways. Being a romantic person, I asked Donkey out for candle dinner last night. I rode motorcycle instead of using car. You might think that we had a sweet romantic ride in the moon light all the way to restaurant. Well, that’s what I hoped actually. However, thing never worked out according to my will! We ‘enjoyed’ a heavy downpour half way… Perhaps snuggling together on a rainy night is also a romantic moment… :haha:

I think kids nowadays are just too lucky. Most of them own better handphones than ours. They spend too much time on SMS and become experts in text messaging shorthand. I’m just wondering what will their teacher reacts if anyone of them hands in an essay written entirely in text messaging shorthand. Who knows they might think that it’s easier than standard English! LOL! By the way, what is your favourite shorthand?

Whether you agree with the above quote or not, you might ‘feel something’ at the moment you meet a young, vibrant and beautiful lady married to an elderly. Perhaps some of you will think about some description like ‘father and daughter’ or ‘father and granddaughter’. On the contrary, I bet you will say they look more like ‘mother and son’ or ‘mother and grandson’. You know what I’m talking about. So, is love really blind? I think that’s depending on individual. But, I can tell you, love may be blind, but marriage is a real eye-opener! :haha:

I know no one is perfect in this world. However I just can’t listen to his BS anymore. So, I try to keep a distance from him. Recently, I don’t hear him talking cock big anymore. I thought he had changed. So when he came and talked to me last night, I wished I could hear something no-nonsense. But, I was wrong! He is still the same bluffer. As the old saying goes, “A leopard can’t change his spots!” Well, I fell really disappointed… :nottalk:
