I wanted to hang myself after I got this email from PayPal:

Dear Monkey Wong,

We’re sorry, but your account access limitation cannot be lifted at this time. We need more information about your account before we can restore full access to your account. Please complete the steps below so that we may review your account further:

- Based on a review of your account and the information received, we show that you have recently change your password and security questions not in Malaysia where your registered address appears but in another country/region. Please provide proof of explanation.

PayPal asked me to change password and security questions in their previous email and now they caught me because I was not in Malaysia! :suprised: I swear to my banana, I never leave Malaysia recently. How could I change my password and security questions in elsewhere? OMG, what kind of proof should I furnish them? :doubt: The only reason I can think of is Internet Service Provider. I’m using deConneXion recently, a free WiFi service which read my IP address in other country. So I just wrote to them and told them about how good and fast deConneXion is the free deConneXion WiFi service that I use. At the same time I changed my password and security questions again by switching back to TM Turtle Streamyx which definitely will show IP address in Malaysia. I hoped I was not wrong with my assumption and I crossed my fingers again.:praying:

Just a day after I emailed to them, I got an email from PayPal stated:

Dear Monkey Wong,

Our review is complete and we have restored your account.

We appreciate your patience and thank you for your help in making PayPal the safest and most trusted online payment solution.

I couldn’t explain how I felt at the moment I read the email. I smiled like a cat!

My money is back to me! :hehe: I love you, PayPal!

I had a memorable birthday with my family last night. My parent prepared a fantastic dinner for me. The precious time we spent together is priceless. I felt really great because it’s not easy to sit down and having dinner together nowadays as we all busy in our own daily life.

So I really believed that I would have another great day when I woke up this morning. However, Paypal certainly kills my valentine’s day! :broken: Look at what I have received in my inbox.

A gift from PayPal :suprised:

Dear Monkey Wong,

As part of our security measures, we regularly screen activity in the PayPal system. During a recent screening, we noticed an issue regarding your account.

We have reason to believe that your account was accessed by a third party. We have limited access to sensitive PayPal account features in case your account has been accessed by an unauthorized third party. We understand that having limited access can be an inconvenience, but protecting your account is our primary concern.
…

Firstly, I thought it is just another Email Scams. Apparently not! It’s real! What have I done to get this “Limited Account Access” status? Thousand question marks! :doubt:

So I checked my my PayPal account and found out this.

Your account access has been limited for the following reason(s):

We have reason to believe that your account was accessed by a third party. We have limited access to sensitive PayPal account features in case your account has been accessed by an unauthorized third party. We understand that having limited access can be an inconvenience, but protecting your account is our primary concern.

What? Accessed by a third party? Really? Someone tries to steal my hard earn money? I’m not sure whether it’s a joke on Valentine’s Day or not (Valentine’s Day is not April fool right?). But for sure with this “Limited Account Access” status, I can not longer send or request money. Not to mention about electronically transfer funds from my PayPal account and close it! On the other hand, I still manage to receive payments, place logos into my auction listings or on my website which I never do, and update my account information. OMG, sounds like my PayPal account is being suspended!

I really don’t want all my money to be burnt just like that, so I quickly react to PayPal by following its “Steps to Remove Limitations” stated in the Resolution Center. I spent sometime to send them my utility bill (proof of address), change my password as well as Security Questions and Answers. That’s all what I could do. I have not idea when I can restore my account access. Now, all I have to do is wait, pray, hope and keep my fingers cross that I get good news soon. Keep your fingers cross for me! :praying:

Happy Valentine’s Day to you all. Remember, if you want to “enjoy something” or be naughty tonight, please make sure to protect “your stuff” properly or else you might get into trouble and become as famous as Edison Chen. :haha:
